POLYTONE MINI-BRUTE – guitar/ bass amplifier
SPARES or REPAIR ONLY

POLYTONE • MINI-BRUTE
In response to questions the description of the faulty is as follows:
The power light comes on and the speaker makes a click when the powered up. I assume the speaker is working but there is no signal when the jack is inserted. A couple of repairers have looked at this but have looked at it a while ago but it was not repaired.
It could be an easy job or it may be more difficult, but my feeling is that old amps like this have more simple construction and it should be repairable. Good luck! The Polytone Mini-Brute, introduced in 1976, is a legendary solid-state amplifier favored by jazz guitarists for its warm, dark, and punchy “classic jazz” tone. Known for its compact size, high power (approx. 100 watts), and analog construction, these portable combos are ideal for small gigs and studio work. They typically feature 12-inch or 15-inch speakers.
